Uniconazole is plant growth regulator of tirazole and a biosynthesis antagonist by gibberellic

acid with strong function on growth inhibition. It inhibits elongation of intermodal cells and

retards plant growth. The reagent conducts all through the inner plant. It promotes effective tillering,

dwarf plants, control spindling, prevention lodging, flowering and fruiting, increasing yield after spraying

Applications

Uniconazole applied to poinsettia foliage at 0.05-0.2 cm³/plant in Aug. retarded growth for 3 weeks but soil drenches of 0.1-0.2 cm³/plant were effective for 6-7 weeks. Foliar application in Jan. was effective for 2-3 weeks and soil drench for 4-5 weeks. With summer application, especially in Aug., rapid stem elongation followed the retardation

effect. Growth retardation was greater with night temperatures of 15°C than with 10 or 20°. In plants

being forced into flower, uniconazole reduced the size of bracts when applied 20 or 30 days after

the beginning of short days in Oct. and Dec., respectively. It was recommended that uniconazole

should be applied 40 days before flowering. In hot summers 2 applications of uniconazole were

needed to maintain bract quality with the 2nd application not less than 7 weeks before flowering

and the 1st application 3 weeks before the 2nd.

Uses

1) Uniconazole is plant growth regulator, such as a GA synthesis inhibitor include height control

for antilodging in cereal crops, chemical pruning and height control in fruit trees, plant size control

in ornamental species ,and growth control in turf, weeds, vine, shrubs and trees.

2) It also can be used as increasing reproductive growth (flower and fruit set), and improve plant

resistance to environmental stress.

3）Uniconazole has strong inhibiting effects on herbaceous or woody plants,no matter it is endogen

or Dicotyledonous.

4)Uniconazole can be used on rice, wheat, corn, peanut, soybean, cotton, fruit trees, flowers and

other crops.

5)It can be spraied on the stem and leaf or for soil treatment.Uniconazole will stabilize the cell

membrane structure,

increase the content of proline and sugar, improve the plant resistance, make the planthave

more cold resistant and drought resistance.

6）Uniconazole also have good effects to wheat root rot small spot to rice blast, rice bakanae

disease,wheat gibberellic disease, kidney beans anthrax.
