It is recommended to cover the samples with the provided transparent sample block cover when possible. This cover provides thermal insulation and reduces water condensation. Normally the water (condensed from air) on and around the sample blocks is drained to lab bench through an opening at the bottom of the unit. Excessive water accumulation can be wipe of with paper towel.
H2O3 is thermoelectric (Peltier) heating/chilling device. This unit is designed for handling and storing small sample tubes at a constant
temperature. The samples on its aluminum sample blocks can be automatically maintained at set point when connected to the electricity outlet via the provided 12 V DC power adaptor. This device is used for loading and storing samples for handling and storing small sample tubes at a specific temperature ranging from 0~2 ºC (H2O3-96), 16 ºC (H2O3-96L), 0~75 ºC (H2O3-75C) or 0~100 ºC (H2O3-100C/PRO/PROIII ).
H2O3 have a modular design of sample blocks to accommodate diferent sample tubes or plate, for example, 0.2, 0.5, 1.5 or 2 mL tubes or a whole 96-well plate or 96-well flat bottom culture plate.
Instruction
Placed on lab bench or a similar sturdy and flat surface. The space between the bottom of the unit and the bench should be clear. The sides of the unit should also have at least four inch (10 cm) of clearance to allow unobstructed ventilation. Select the proper size or a combination of blocks according to your sample tube sizes. (Please contact your dealer for other types of standard or non-standard blocks.)
1、 H2O3-96/96L
Insert sample blocks in the opening and make certain that the sample blocks are in close contact with the work plate (Fig.1-2). Connect the 12V DC power adaptor to the DC input terminal on the back of the unit (Fig. 3). Plug the power supply into a wall outlet, and turn on the power switch on the back of the unit (Fig.3). The block should start to chill immediately.
2、 H2O3-H、 H2O3-75/100C
Insert sample blocks in the opening and make certain that the sample blocks are in close contact with the cold plate (Fig. 1). Connect the 12 V DC power adaptor to the DC input terminal on the back of the unit (Fig. 3). Plug the power supply into a wall outlet and turn on the power switch on the back of the unit (Fig. 3).
Temperature Display: While the device is on, the LED display shows actual temperature on the right side and shows set point on the left
3、 H2O3-PRO
Insert sample blocks in the opening and make certain that the sample blocks are in close contact with the cold plate (Fig. 2,4). Connect the 12 V DC power adaptor to the DC input terminal on the back of the unit (Fig.
3). Plug the power supply into a wall outlet, and turn on the power switch on the back of the unit (Fig. 3). Time and Temperature setting: While the device is on, the left side of LED display shows “OFF” and the right side shows actual temperature. The Peltier efect device keeps of. Press the “SET” button to enter the setting mode. The LED start flashing and then press up ▲ or down▼
button to desired temperature and time. Press the “SET” button again to set the other parameter. After setting, the parameters flash for 4s and return to the “RUN” mode.
Operation: Press the “RUN” button to start the program. When the temperature reaches the set point (the deviation is within ±1.0 ℃), the colon of the time display flashes to indicate the beginning of the countdown. When the countdown finishes, the buzzer buzzes three times to warn the operator, and meanwhile the time display disappears. Then the device automatically goes to 4℃ to incubate the samples at low temperature.
4、 H2O3-PROIII
Setting up: Turn on the power switch (Fig. 2). Upon turning on the unit, Timer Display shows “OFF” and Temperature Display shows the real temperature of Cold/Hot Plate. Now the unit is in OFF mode (in which the heating/chilling core is inactive). Your are ready to program the device.
Programming: The temperature profile of H2O3-PROIII has 3 segments to program. Press “SET” key to enter the programming mode to set the temperature and time duration of each segment. For example, press “SET” once, Timer Display starts flashing and the first (leftmost) Segment LED turns on; they indicate that the time of the first segment is selected to program. Now, press up ▲ or down▼ key to increase or decrease the time. Press “SET” again, Temperature Display starts flashing; it means that the temperature of the first segment is selected to program. Press “SET” key once again, Timer Display flashes and the second (middle)
Segment LED turns on; now the time of the second segment is ready to program. So on, continue to press “SET” key to advance parameter and segment selection. Once a parameter is selected, press up ▲ or down▼ key to adjust the value of that parameter.
Running: Press “RUN” button to start the program. When the temperature reaches within ±1.0 ℃ from the set point, the buzzer beeps once, the time countdown begins and Timer Display colon(:) starts flashing. Upon completion of all three segments, the buzzer beeps three times, and the device returns to OFF mode.
STOP: To force quite a running program, press and hold “RUN” button for a few seconds.
Reset TIME and TEMPERATURE: when running Press “SET” key to choose which parameter to set. Press up ▲ or down▼ key to reset the time/ temperature. Notice that once ▲ or ▼ key is pressed, flashing Time/ Temperature Display shows time/ temperature set point. After ▲ and ▼ keys are untouched for a few seconds, Time/ Temperature Display reverts to show actual time/ temperature and light becomes steady.
