H 2 O 3 is a thermoelectric (Peltier) chilling device with battery inside. This unit is designed for handling and storing small sample tubes at icy temperature. The samples on its aluminum sample blocks can be automatically maintained at between 0~2ºC when connected to the electricity outlet via the provided 12 V DC power adaptor. It can word either with cord or cordlessly, and it is a simple and convenient replacement of wet ice bucket in many occasions. Model H 2 O 3 -96B can chill one standard 96-well PCR plate. Model H 2 O 3 -96LB can be special ordered to be set at any other constant temperature, for example, 16 ºC.

Instruction
Placed on lab bench or a similar sturdy and flat surface. The space between the bottom of the unit and the bench should be clear. The sides of the unit should also have at least one inch (2.5 cm) of clearance to allow
unobstructed ventilation.
Select the proper size or a combination of blocks according to your sample tube sizes. Insert sample blocks in the opening and make certain that the sample blocks are in close contact with the cold plate (Fig. 1).
Connect the 12 V DC power adaptor to the DC input terminal on the back of the unit (Fig. 2). Plug the power supply into a wall outlet, and turn on the power switch on the back of the unit (Fig. 2).
Power Indicator: Press the button (3 in Fig.1) next to the indicating lights (4 in Fig.1) to check the remaining battery life of the Battery Pack. The percentage of the remaining battery life is indicated by certain LED lights.
It is recommended to cover the samples with the provided transparent sample block cover when possible. This cover provides thermal insulation and reduces water condensation. Normally the water (condensed from air) on and around the sample blocks is drained to lab bench through an opening at the bottom of the unit. Excessive water accumulation can be wipe off with paper towel.
