Technical conditions for plates of LR EH36

1. Scope
The technical conditions apply to plates of EH36 with thickness not less than 120mm. (100mm-200mm)
2. Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation
The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation shall meet the requirements of LR rules..
The flatness of plates shall be =< 5mm/1m and =<8mm/2m.
3. Technical conditions
3.1 Chemical composition (Ladle analysis)
The chemical composition of plates shall be accordance with the following table 1.

3.2 Carbon equivalent (CEq)
Carbon equivalent shall be not more than 0.43 for plates of EH36.
Carbon equivalent shall be calculated as follows:
CEq=C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15 (%)

3.3 Tensile properties
The tensile properties of E36 shall meet the requirement as table 2.

3.4 Impact properties
Impact test in the longitudinal and transverse for plates of EH36 shall meet the requirements per table 3.

3.5 Grain size
Grain size for plates shall be according to LR rules.
3.6 Surface quality
The surface quality of plates shall be accordance with LR rules
3.7 Ultrasonic inspection
Plates shall be ultrasonic inspected per ASTM A578/A578M level B.
3.8 Hot rolled of compression ratio
The compression ratio of Steel plate have to no less than 3:1
3.9 Test method and inspection rules
Test items, sampling quantity, sampling method and test method shall conform to table 4.

4. Package, marking and certificate
Package, marking and certificate shall conform to LR rules
5. The third party inspection
The chemical composition, tensile test and Charpy -V impact test for plates of EH36 shall be witnessed by surveyor of LR.
6. Delivery conditions
The delivery conditions for plates of EH36 shall be Normalized.
7. Other requirements
The other requirements for plates of EH36 shall be accordance with LR rules.
