Molecular weight: 551.89 (based on 1985 Internatioal Atomic Weight)
1: Introduction:

Properties: White powdery form. It is unaffected by water vapor. It is soluble in acid but not soluble in water. It does not dissolve easily in ammonia liquor or alkaline solution.

Stability: More stable and more palatable compared with zinc oxide and zinc sulfate.
2:Specification:

Basic Zinc Chloride:98%min; Zn: 58% min; 

Pb:0.0003% max; Cadmium(Cd):0.001%max;Arsenic(As): 0.003%

3:Application:

To prevent diarrhea, add 1.8--2.6kg per ton of piglet feed; As zinc supplement, 80% of the amount needed for zinc sulfate will suffice, or 60% of that needed for zinc oxide. Rations may be prepared in accordance with the table below. Amount of basic zinc chloride to be added to compound feed for livestock and poultry.
