Takoyaki was invented in Osaka in 1935 by Tomekichi Endo. Takoyaki,(literally fried or grilled octopus) is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special takoyaki pan. It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus, fresh vegetables, eggs, pickled ginger, and green onion. It is less dense, crispier on the outside, and has a soft chewy center. Meanwhile, it is rich in nutrition.
