Over the last decade, Agaricus blazei has been studied and developed as a novel functional food in Japan, Korea, P.R.China and Taiwan.

Agaricus Blazei Murill is a mushroom that contains a special class of polysaccharides known as "beta glucans".  The Agaricus blazei in this product is extracted with the preferred hot water / alcohol method to increase the bioavailability of the polysaccharides. Originally discovered in Brazil, Agaricus blazei has been widely consumed in many countries, where it is regarded as a kind of health food.

Physiological Functions

The Agaricus blazei polysaccharides appear to activate a type of white blood cell known as macrophage. The function of macrophages is to filter the blood by destroying viruses, bacteria, and perhaps even cancer cells.

The main medicinal properties of this mushroom are anti-tumor and immunity enhancement. Its effective in treatment of cancer, AIDS, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and many others. It has been identified by scientists to be an immune system enhancement with strong anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties.
